Thou Art Revenged

My favorite scene from my favorite Star Trek movie. I can't help but thinking that Picard's speech was actually addressing a much, much older grudge than what we see on the screen. What do you think this is all meant to symbolize?

"For Seventeen Days..."

The 17 Enigma deepens- The Olympic Games run for 17 days, both Winter and Summer.

Now go watch that 1984 Olympics closing ceremony again...

Pyramids Once Hidden Behind the Iron Curtain

Where do those crazy EU guys go to drown their sorrows after the Irish No vote? Send those nutty clowns to Siberia!

Seriously! Get 'em outta here!

Het, that's an interesting eight-sided pyramid...

The Crystal Skull of "Knowledge"

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is one of those films that absolutely defies synchromystic analysis by shoving it all in your face, down your throat, out the other end and back again.

Yahooccultism: The Maya, 2012, and Ovarygate!

I think I need to create a new tag for Yahooccultism. News on the Maya that won't surprise Graham Hancock readers and more on the 2012 thing (which I may take to calling the Y2012K thing).

Midsummer Fires Factoids

Lest we forget...

• The modern UFO era began this day in 1947.

• The first Masonic Grand Lodge was established this day in 1717.

• The Sovereign Order of the Solar Temple was established this day in 1966. Not to be confused with the similarly named Order of the Solar Temple, this group claimed Princess Grace of Monaco as a member.

• It's also The Feast Day of St. John the Baptist, venerated by both the Knights Templar and the Freemasons.

Speaking of blue and gold and warriors, it's also the 22nd birthday of Solange Knowles (no relation).

Yahooccultism: "Everything Seemingly is Spinning out of Control"

Yahoo 17 Week Addenda: This cheery story went up yesterday, but I missed it. Today has the Mars thing on the front page again.

Everything Seemingly is Spinning out of Control
By ALAN FRAM and EILEEN PUTMAN, Associated Press Writers Sun Jun 22, 4:13 AM ET WASHINGTON - Is everything spinning out of control? Midwestern levees are bursting. Polar bears are adrift. Gas prices are skyrocketing. Home values are abysmal. Air fares, college tuition and health care border on unaffordable. Wars without end rage in Iraq, Afghanistan and against terrorism.
Even so, a battered public seems discouraged by the onslaught of dispiriting things. An Associated Press-Ipsos poll says a barrel-scraping 17 percent of people surveyed believe the country is moving in the right direction. That is the lowest reading since the survey began in 2003.
Interesting time stamp: 4+13=17.

The Mars time stamp? 1:25. 12+5=?

Yahooccultism: The Week in 17

I wonder if there's a synchromystic mole on the Yahoo News team who's also hip to the 17 tip, because there was an interesting sequence of stories on their video ticker.
