PseudoScience Friday: Maybe Tomorrow, Maybe Someday

Well, the P.T. Barnum Memorial Permanent Moon Base Roadshow pulled into town again and performed its song and dance for bored reporters. I'm not sure why this old saw was pulled out of the toolbox but it seems to me this act plays to smaller crowds every time it takes the stage.

Guess it's true. You can't fool all of the people all of the time.

Apocalyptic Talking Points: Gene Genies

If the reports are to be believed, a Chinese scientist created the first gene-edited babies and of course they're Twins. Twin girls, to be precise.

The only people caught off guard by all this are those poor, benighted souls who don't read The Secret Sun. I'm thinking of starting a GoFundMe for them.

The Ice Age is Coming, the Sun's Zooming In

I woke up this morning and my phone informed me that it was 12ºF outside. I think that roughly translates to -70ºC or something.

I dunno, I suck at math. But I think you get the idea.

Satan is in Season: From Celine to Sabrina

You've probably seen some articles on this bizarre advertisement for Celine Dion's (literally: "Moon Goddess") new gender-neutral clothing line. It's every bit as weird and unsettling as you heard it was, but guess what?

It's 2018 and this is where we are now.

PseudoScience Friday: We'll Leave the Lights On For You

Well, there you have it. I'm not sure exactly what to think about this here: is this just more clickbait from the pop-science-site crowd, just one of an endless series of junk stories that come and go without ever amounting to anything? Is this laser omnidirectional or two-way, meaning can information (like, say, encoded genomes) be sent back and forth upon it?

Or is this some kind of signal to let the Vegas know that the groundwork's been laid and the Earth's now ready for invasion? Cast your vote in the comments.

Sabrina Destroys Minds & Reaps Souls

Do you come here OFTEN?

I don't exactly understand the mechanics of spellcraft and I'm not sure anyone else does either. Is it simply the power of suggestion? Is it a kind of mind control? Is it somehow based in non-supernatural but super-normal psychic powers?

I don't know and to be honest, I don't much care. I don't really worry too much the exact science of microprocessors when I use the Internet. I'm just interested in the results.

Knock, Knock. Who's There? It. It Who? It Never Ends.

Well, 'Oumuamua continues to vex star-watchers. The Vegas' mothership anomalous space-projectile seems to behave in very strange ways, leading scientists at Harvard University to conclude that it may in fact be a dislodged solar sail from an extraterrestrial galactic probe.

Ever get the feeling that sciences like astronomy were invented to keep really smart people too busy to cause trouble? Y'know, kinda like Synchromysticism?

Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, It Never Ends.

Well, it's been nearly a year and a half since Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell died on the Detroit River and there's been a never-ending rollercoaster ride of highly nutritious synchery ever since. And since timing is everything, we keep getting hit over the head with what I like to call the "emerging archetypal dominants" on account of it being the Great Unveiling and all.

So it's only natural that the Apollo Chris Cornell statue was unveiled today, and the festivities were bathed in an eerie glow of Violaine.
