Dark City: The Ante/Anti-Matrix

Like the The Matrix a year later, writer/director Alex Proyas’ Dark City offers up his take on Neo-Gnostic savior mythology, but shuns the Wachowskis’ intersectionalist/ queer-theory approach in favor of the fertility symbolism of the ancient Mystery cults.

Paradise Lost to Lust?

In the previous installment, we looked at evidence that the myth of Prometheus — indeed the fall of the Titans to the Olympians — might be yet another story that the Greeks inherited from time immemorial about the fall of the Sumerian dynasty to the Akkadian usurper, Sargon.

"We Are Perseus"

It's been a very busy week here at Secret Sun Central. Sybilline emanations have been extremely powerful this week, as one would expect from the living embodiment of Synchronicity.

I'm getting material ready for Secret Sun v1.5 and wrapping up a mystery project, all at the same time I just happened to inadvertently stumble on the key to many ciphers and puzzles that people have been trying to solve for a very, very long time.

It's kind of been blowing my mind, to tell the truth.

The Royal Scam: Fire on Babylon

OK, this is going to be some hit and run Synchromysticism. There's a lot to sort through and I don't have a lot of time so let's do this. Feel free to expand and expound in the comments section. I'll try to revisit this story if I can spare a few.

But yeah, this thing just keeps on shootin' out the synchery, so much so that I wonder what we're really seeing here. I get the feeling it's going somewhere weird and dark.

Born to Kill

All right, this bullshit again.

I was planning to do a post about the anniversary of Chris Cornell's death but here we are. I don't have a lot to say about this that isn't being said already, mind you.

All That Was Hidden is Now Being Revealed

We're at the point where every major news story needs to be tested for any perceptible ritual meaning. The walls of separation between ritual and reality are crumbling, as are those between Synchronicity and sorcery.

The Holy Fool

The jingling of bells during the dance is meant to frighten evil spirits and the clashing of sticks represent the fight between good and evil.

Lucifer's Technologies: Land of Enchantment

The events at Roswell in July of 1947 did not happen in a vacuum. They occurred within one of the most extraordinary periods in human history, particularly from an esoteric point of view. They would spark a chain of events that would change the entire world.

Sync Log: The Fox and the Flocks

Jupiter and Moon, taken 4/17

I ended the previous post (about the Ba'al Gate controversy) with this conclusion:

I've been finding myself looking at all my Mesopotamian books lately, my Samuel Noah Kramer books and all the rest of them. In comparison the Egyptian material seems almost whimsical, comforting, much more like the Bible than Jews or Christians would want to admit.

Space/Gods: As Above, So Ba'al-Low

Ba'al in his flying sky-chariot

We're five days out from the erection of the reproduction of the Palmyra triumphal arch in Trafalgar Square in London. There won't be a simultaneous installation in New York for reasons we'll look at in a moment.

Mindbomb: Break on Through to the Inner Side

 From 2001: A Space Odyssey #2

I realized I left this series hanging and didn't adequately wrap it all up.
Seeing as how Synchronicity insisted I do so- in its own inimitable way- here's the coup de grace for what was an unexpectedly popular breakthrough series.

Space is an Altar: A Mother and Child Reunion

If you scroll down and look at the right hand column, you'll come across Knowles' Law. It reads as follows: "Whenever a controversy over symbolism erupts in the media, it's usually disguising another hidden symbolic message altogether."

You know the game: click pix to enlarge and let those neurons fire. Google away until the wee morning hours and connect the dots to this unfolding narrative...

The Eternals: And All Challengers Will Be Destroyed

I've written a lot about some of the more apparent connections and prophecies made in Jack Kirby's comics, and in our last installment we looked at an issue of Black Cat Mystic that essentially contained the basic building blocks of Jack Kirby's AstroGnostic opus, The Eternals.

Esteban Maroto: The Erotic and the Esoteric

In many ways, Our Gods Wear Spandex was about being a young and impressionable fanboy at a time when esotericism was common as crummy printing and cheesy advertising in comics.

Thor: Fit for the King

  A typically-tardy, completely-biased review...

Every sci-fi and superhero movie of the past 30 years has at least a little Jack Kirby blood pumping in its veins (and most have a lot), as well as most action movies post-Die Hard. The same goes for most video games as well.
