Liber ALeister & the Aeon of Crowley

Nietzsche once said, "All great things must first wear a terrifying and monstrous mask, in order to inscribe themselves on the hearts of humanity."

"Ultraterrestrial Agents of Cultural Deconstruction"

My family and I were discussing the Mandela Effect at Sunday dinner. My daughter-in-law wasn't familiar with it, so we looked up some ME listicles.

Who Said It: Joe Biden or Aleister Crowley?

I have to say, some of Joe Biden's speech last night seemed awfully familiar.

Like, what's this whole "Light" thing about?

Life in the Fast Ghislaine

Something extremely strange is going on, strange even in the context of 2020. I can't rightly figure exactly what as yet, I can only poke around the edges of it.

Insane in the Ghislaine: The Janus Twins

Say, did you hear about the rich guy who was obsessed with sex and weird science?

The guy who turned his posh digs into a orgiastic fuckpad where minors were reportedly sexually abused? The guy who was plugged into networks of prominent scientists and luminaries from entertainment and the world of letters?

Ghislaine, Ghislaine, This World is Insane

OK, you've heard the news by now and you can get the lowdown at any number of outlets. You don't come here for the news of the day, you come here to get your fix of "WHAT THE EFF?"

And believe me, we got a LOT of that in store.

Hello friends. Are you enjoying the Secret Sunification of the entire world?

You aren't?
Well, just don't say I didn't warn you.

Swamp Things and Strange Angels

Marvel John Whiteside Parsons, who no one outside of a small handful of weirdos had ever even heard of until very recently, is the subject of a new prestige series based on the biography written by George Pendle.

Entrainment Tonight: Mother of Pearls

Why aren't you wearing your Pearls, citizen? We noticed you didn't wear your Orange yesterday, either. I need to swipe your social credits card, please.

OK, I think we might have a bit of a problem here. Sit tight, I need to call my supervisor.

It's the End of the World As We Know It (and Larry Fine)

Hey, giant extraterrestrial demons on the roof of the most prestigious museum in the western hemisphere? Sure, why not? Go for it. I mean it is 2018, right?

Take a good long look, my friends. You're looking at the future.

Don't worry, they come in peace. Don't he look peaceful? A regular pussycat.

Eye Wanna Be Sedated

Bruce Rux, author of the absolute must-have foundational text Architects of the Underworld, had a very interesting take on the definitions of disinformation and misinformation.

Disinformation, Rux argues, is when an official source feeds you false information. Misinformation, on the other hand, is when an entirely unreliable and disreputable source feeds you true information, which was usually fed to them.

Yellowstone Apocalypse, or What Worries Me Most

There is so much going on out there, so much mischief and madness being thrown at us, so many toys coming out of those DUMB labs and archonic think-tanks that I can hardly keep up with it all. Then there's nightmare in Austin that seems to have risen like Cthulhu from the deep, dragging a gaggle of potent symbols in its wake like tin cans behind a newlyweds' Studebaker.

Lucifer's Technologies: The Innovation Ring

Western Electric would also
eventually become part of Lucent

We are surrounded by technology of a kind that our great-grandparents could barely have conceived of. And now it's threatening to change all our lives in ways we still don't understand.

Synchronicity Can Teach Us Hard Lessons

As I wrote in the previous post, 2015 had some hard lessons for me. But sometimes those are the lessons we need.

Bodysurfing the Apocalypse

Still from San Andreas, a movie about "The Big One"

Have you spent any time in the ocean? Have you spent any time dealing with the powerful, often invisible forces of currents, undertow, waves and the other irresistible forces of nature in the waters?

Propaganda in the Classical Sense

Throughout history, cults of all sizes and shapes have created exciting dramas to spread their doctrines to the uninitiated. Many of the same elements we see in comic books, paperback SF and fantasy novels and Hollywood movies were first introduced in these stories, not as entertainment per se, but as literal propaganda, meaning as messages designed to 'propagate the faith'.

Alien Entertrainment: Enter the Phoenix

A reader dropped this link in a recent post and needless to say it blew my mind. This was a very short-lived show from 1982 starring Judson Scott, a face familiar to Star Trek, V and X-Files fans.

The ancient astronaut angle was a bit late in the game, considering we were a year and change into Reagan's term. But the Machu Picchu opener is quite ahead of its time, as it would become a New Age hotspot just a few years later.
