Welcome Back, Kubrick

It's hard to believe, but so many of the video analyses about Eyes Wide Shut fail to inform the viewer that Kubrick was working from an old novel and its three prior adaptations.

Disclosure Theater and the Deep State Nine

What’s with all this “UFO Disclosure” business going on in Washington? There’s no hue and cry amongst the public for it.

Entering the Kubrickon

Here's the second half of my talk with Jasun Horsley on his new book, The Kubrickon: The Cult of Kubrick, Attention Capture, and the Inception of AI.

The Deepest Dive on 2001: A Space Odyssey

Apologies for the rather sparse posting here lately, but I've been very busy on some Marianas Trench-level deep-dives into the never-ending rituals, as well as the bottomless rabbit hole of Sibylry.

It's the End of the World As We Know It (and Larry Fine)

Hey, giant extraterrestrial demons on the roof of the most prestigious museum in the western hemisphere? Sure, why not? Go for it. I mean it is 2018, right?

Take a good long look, my friends. You're looking at the future.

Don't worry, they come in peace. Don't he look peaceful? A regular pussycat.

Apes, Aliens and Artificial Intelligence

Hidden Experience host Mike Clelland! recently found himself channeling The Secret Sun. I (along with many others) was so deeply impressed with the results that I asked Mike if I could repost it here. After several passes and revisions, Mike passed along the code and I'm republishing here for The Secret Sun Nation.

The Hidden Experience of the Secret Sun

Impact caused a "seismic event," but left no trace of evidence

Mike Clelland and I had two marathon gabfests this past weekend on the Signal and the ECH.
One of which went over a cliff of sidebars and the other one was a keeper. Mike put it up on the Hidden Experience blog, which I hope all of you have bookmarked.

Jack Kirby, Stanley Kubrick and the SynchroSpace Odyssey

The first installment of this series dealt with the plasticity of memory, centered on the fact that my most vivid memories from my childhood were either nightmares or hallucinations, many of which had strands of commonality with abduction experiences.

Stanley Kubrick and the Reality Stargate

Gnostic scholar Jay Weidner has been making the rounds with a new film series called Kubrick's Odyssey. It's Weidner's contention that Stanley Kubrick was enlisted to help manufacture film and photography for a simulation of an Apollo 11 mission for public consumption, which would keep the real mission secret.

Jack Kirby's Schizoid Hijacking of Kubrick's Space Odyssey

If there's one thing I've realized over the years it's that the secular world is filled with priesthoods, no less intolerant and no less dogmatic than their religious counterparts.

Dog Days: The Ground Zero Mosque

I made mention the other day of this shot from HuffPost pertaining to the "Ground Zero Mosque" debate surrounding Park51 or the Cordoba House or whatever it's being called this week.

Entrainment Tonight: On to the Next One

When you sift through all of the strange symbolism manifesting itself in the culture you have to ask yourself two questions- what does it mean and who put it there? At this stage in the game, intentional symbolism in movies, videos, games, etc. isn't really very interesting to me, in and of itself.

Jack Kirby, Mindbomb: OK, This is Completely Insane

In my most recent extravaganza, I asked this impertinent question:
Is creativity a form of shamanic communion with forces beyond our ordinary experience? Are there certain individuals who are able to tap into the deepest recesses of consciousness where the gods are waiting?

Alien Dreaming: Transformers Gonna Transform

If you've been in a cave the past few weeks, you've probably missed the thousands of images of Megan Fox relentlessly posing at various premieres of the new Transformers movie.

Alien Dreaming and the Widening Gyre, pt. III

So many strands of inquiry have been coming together...

Stairway to Sirius: Death and Restoration II

Anyone with a passing familiarity to esoteric symbolism is still reeling from the Atlantis Rising ceremony that was put on last week. The headline had it that the ritual could be "seen from space," and indeed it would have been incomprehensible to anyone less than two thousand feet or so in the air.

Astronaut Theology: Let's Play a Game

I'm always looking for ways to be The Secret Sun more exciting and interactive. One of the ideas I came up with is "The Allegory Game." The point of this game is to look at a particular sequence in a film and see if in fact it's actually an allegory of something else, something not part of the external narrative.
