Stairway to Kevin

I got your Shimmer right here.

Being old and jaded as I am, I do have to say it's a real joy to see so many new natural phenomena rearing up these days.

My personal favorite is "fireball season" - which everyone seems to pretend is actually a thing, like meteor showers or something - but they're all good fun equally.

Now we have "light pillars," a term I never heard until this week but apparently has been around since the dim, dark days of the distant past. Well, at least the early 2000s. I'm sure climate change will be credited/blamed for the phenomenon, as will everything eventually.
...............

Here's a close-up of the light pillars for your files.

...............

Helpful hint: "New natural phenomenon" is a media euphemism for "The Shimmer."

...............

Saw an interesting new natural phenomenon of my own a few days back. It looked like there were two suns in the sky, from an ostensible sun dog. Of course I haven't seen any other sun dogs anywhere that look quite like this, but you know. Aerosols.

I saw these Uzumaki-looking photos on Twitter but I'm on the fence as to their authenticity. They look a bit too good to be real but who knows what's real anymore anyway, right? If anyone can confirm or deny conclusively that would be helpful.

...............
............

And the big story is this 90s blockbuster-worthy light-show over Queens last night. This was originally blamed on a transformer explosion at a ConEd plant but later chalked up to some weird kind of plasma event or whatever-the-fuck bullshit cover story. I heard rumors it actually caused an EMP pulse but can't confirm that at presstime.
...............

Do note that this same phenomenon also manifested itself in Louisiana as well. Coincidence? I don't know. You believe in coincidences?

SPACEY: THE FINAL FRONTIER

The other big story this week was this weird viral video posted by Kevin Spacey. Portraying his character from House of Cards, Spacey is either letting us know he's lost his last remaining marbles or he's issuing a coded threat to his fellow BLs in Tinseltown. A threat stating, "If I go down, I'm taking all of you with me."

My personal vote is leaning strongly--if not overwhelmingly-- towards the latter. Spacey is a sociopath but he's also a highly-intelligent and motivated sociopath. He's also in very deep indeed with the cryptocrat crowd and probably has quite a few tawdry stories about them to tell as well.

I am cosmically certain phones in certain corner offices were ringing off hooks soon after "Let Me Be Frank" went live. I'm sure no small numbers of those phones were ringing in the lobbies of extremely expensive attorneys-at-law.

...............
As it happens, the case that spilled the milk bottle for Spacey in the first place is now going to trial. Namely the accusations leveled by William Little, who is the son of a prominent TV personality in Boston, Heather Unruh (literally, "unrest").

Little claims he has an incriminating Snapchat video to present at trial, so this could be quite a show. Assuming, of course, that bribes, threats and called-in favors don't quash the lawsuit altogether. That potentiality gets my vote for "most likely outcome" of this drama, but I've been wrong before.

...............
And of course, this "William Little" name-gamery completes the circuit first raised over the oddly-titled track on Victorialand (redundant, I know), "Little Spacey." In that light, this case may end up being a bit more pivotal than any of us might imagine.
...............

Especially considering that "Little Spacey" was released in April of 1986, when Kevin Spacey was on Broadway in Eugene O'Neill's Long Day's Journey into Night and a 14 year-old Anthony Rapp was also appearing on the Great White Way. That conjunction led to an ugly event in which the 25 year-old Spacey tried to bed the younger actor after a cast party.

And it would be Rapp's accusations and not Unruh's that really brought down the hammer on Spacey's head. Even so, Unruh and Little broke the silence on what had been a long-running open secret in show business.
...............

Remembering that "oomingmak" means "musk ox," it should be noted that Elon Musk and Kevin Spacey shared the circle of shame yesterday. Musk (whose lady-love is a Reverend Mother in the Bene Frasserit) for accusing a rescue diver involved in the Thai cave incident of pedophilia and Spacey for committing it.
...............
I mean, allegedly committing it.
...............

Concurrent with all of this was a story that a 33 year-old American made a solo crossing of Antarctica (give or take).

...............
I say "give or take" because it was only a crossing in the most generous sense of the term. But hey, when's the last time you snow-shoed solo over a frozen tundra? Never? OK then.

...............
However, do note that we had the "Little Spacey" bull's eye the same day as Elon "Oomingmak" Musk made the public pillories and the same day that this 33 year-old chap finished his trek of the coast of -- you guessed it-- Victoria Land.

Let's also remember Spacey's links to Lyra and Victoria Land as well.

Listen, if you don't believe by now then I'm afraid I can't help you. Sorry.
...............

SMELLS LIKE FISH

Aquaman is in the theaters and it's turning out to be a modest hit for a franchise that sure could use one. Not a grand slam by any means but a solid ground-rule double with 2 RBI. Interesting that a fish-man was the big hype of last December and a fish-man is the big(ish) hype this year.

And by interesting I mean inevitable.

I'm still trying to not regard The Shape of Water as Del Toro's unauthorized Hellboy spinoff, but at this point it looks like Abe Sapien would have to get in line. In case you were wondering I have seen the new Hellboy trailer and absolutely hated it, even if I think David Harbour is a casting coup par excellence

Classic Hellboy comics aren't big, bright and loud. They're quiet, dark and moody. They're so great because they fly in the face of worn-out comic book (and by extension, movie) cliches and conventions. Maybe a Netflix series would be a better venue for the Hellboy Universe.

...............
As I've said before the Transgenic Revolution will be pretty much the same as all the others, meaning it will be sold to the public as therapeutic.

We've already looked at how the Mermaid meme is being sold as something you strive to become, not just play at. Since the meme tends loses a bit of lustre during the winter months we're seeing stories like the Little Mermaid kissing controversy at Princeton (one of hundreds of LM productions underway at the moment) and this story, in which a woman uses mermaidery in her recovery from cancer.
...............
What reasonable person could quibble with that, right?
...............

...............

Concurrently, we're seeing the rise of the use of fish skin for bandages and skin grafts (tilapia skin was also used to help construct a vagina for a woman born without one). The pitch here folds in child burn victims, a demographic you'd have to be a monster to object being treated, even with what is for all intents and purposes a gateway to full-on transgenics.
...............

...............
Important detail here-- the fish-scales remain even after the grafts have been processed for human use. Look for this practice to eventually become the standard in place of traditional dressings, within the next 5 years at the latest.
...............

I LEARNED THE TRUTH AT SEVENTEEN
...............

A lot of you good folks have written to me about this, seeing as how the 17 meme was explored here over a decade ago. But this horror-show makes me wonder if the Siren Song ritual performed in Perth (just a few hundred miles south of Java) earlier this year might have something to do with all this, as well as other disasters--mass beachings, super-typhoons, tsunamis, etc-- descending on that corner of the world in 2018.

Sure, it sounds crazy but crazy is what we do here.

And just the other day someone allegedly tried to blow up a Siren statue in Thailand. Unfortunately for them, it didn't work. Remember the old saying, if you move against the Siren, make sure you destroy the Siren.

I'll create a news alert for drownings in the Songkhla area.

...............
Speaking of Siren Songs...

Everyone laughs at me when I go on about this stuff. Go on, laugh all you want. It doesn't phase me in the slightest. Why?

Because I realize your laughter is just a defense mechanism.

And it looks like there's some fresh ritual afoot in Grangemouth, linking NASA, the Kelpies, the stars and our old friend Ki for the New Year. As one does.

Just in case you think this is all a one-off, NASA reportedly found some rock on Mars and named it "Little Colonsay," allegedly because it resembles the legendary Scottish island.

I say "allegedly" because Colonsay is traditionally linked to psychic Scottish mermaids. I mean, do you expect anything else by now?
...............

...............

Sirens and variations thereto being a big thing with the Celtic nations, as we see here in this Irish ritual (one of the many Irish traditions blending Christianity and Druidry). Go figure.
...............

...............
And lastly, we see this story of an icon of the Horned God popping up in a dig in Cambridgeshire, England. Well, allegedly the Horned God. It could just as well be the Sheela Na Gig to my untrained eyes.

Or Goa...never mind.

Some guy interviewed on WCBS in NYC -- "Shaheed" was it? -- was waving a big fat white spliff on-camera and saying he and his homies' phones were for network access after for some minutes after the event. Could have been power-cycle of cellular routing systems followed by massive uptick in phone calls made due to freaky blue light, though.

Lady Gaga in Vegas has unveiled her new alter ego - an alien in a shimmery bodysuit.

At the press conference for the Con Ed transformer blow, dimensional rip, or whatever, officials brought an alien mask. Similar to the Phoenix Lights press conference in '91, when officials actually had an actor dressed as an alien come, ostensibly to diffuse the heightened emotions among the community.

"She is a consummate performer. But Lady Gaga had to pause her performance of Shallow during opening night of her Las Vegas residency on Friday. The 32-year-old singer nearly broke down as she sat at the piano playing the breakout hit from A Star Is Born for the first time live."

"Gaga hair was an electric blue as she walked across the stage to her piano in a black t-shirt and boots, while a guitar played the track's intro. 'For a really long time, I felt so misunderstood,' the Poker Face singer told the crowd. 'They thought the way I dressed, the way I talked, attitude, they thought it was shallow, but this s**t is deep as f***.'"

"Adding, 'I love you so much. I'm so proud to be your star, but the truth is, you gave birth to me.'"

"Wrapped in a mystery: The 32-year-old singer nearly broke down as she sat at the piano playing the breakout hit from A Star Is Born for the first time"

"The singer unveiled her latest alter-ego as she transformed into a sparkling metallic alien on stage at the Park Theater in the Monte Carlo Hotel."

"Stars Katy Perry and Adam Lambert supported her from the audience."

    10. EMPs are localized and typically are in a radius, or a specific area. they don't cause rolling blackouts.(which the original statement I responded to implied). Nothing went down in the area for any real length of time with irreparable damage. When they do strike...everything goes and doesn't reboot from conventional means without a complete reset and mechanical replacement.
      "do tell" I just did.

Since I was bingeing -- and more or less falling asleep -- on episodes of "Travelers" at the time, I naturally assumed it was a pod of T-1000's shredding the time-space continuum in formation. (Technically it's not a 'pod', but a "glimmer" of T-1000's).

    2. DNA = "This Mortal Coil"?

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intrauterine_device#Mechanism

"IUDs primarily work by preventing fertilization. The progestogen released from the hormonal IUDs mainly works by thickening the cervical mucus which prevents sperm from reaching the fallopian tubes. Furthermore, IUDs may also function by preventing ovulation from occurring but this only occurs partially. Copper IUDs do not contain any hormones but the copper ions themselves are toxic to sperm. They also cause the uterus and fallopian tubes to produce a fluid that contains white blood cells, copper ions, enzymes, and prostaglandins, which is also toxic to sperm. The very high effectiveness of copper-containing IUDs as emergency contraceptives implies they may also act by preventing implantation of the blastocyst."

"Copper IUDs do not contain any hormones but the copper ions themselves are toxic to sperm."

Contraceptives, when effective, interrupt the process of fertilisation & impregnation limiting the consequences of coitus, & in doing so remove "love makers" from "the circle of life": the cycle of reproduction, survival & evolution. Technological developments such as IUDs (which wouldn't look out of place in something like Cronenberg's "Dead Ringers") are sold as means of liberation, emancipation, autonomy & most toxic of all "convenience", we live in a world wholly born of this latter & deviant notion, enabled by IUD-like devices that rapidly approaches It's inevitable overturning, but as that "lover of live & singer of song" Freddie Mercury sang:

"Don't stop me now I'm having such a good time I'm having a ball"

Humanity bewitched to It's doom by the crazed & possessed promise of a "good time". If this hedonistic process in & of Itself is a "cycle" who knows, will any soul survive the unvieling to muse such notions?

      https://www.vox.com/science-and-health/2018/12/24/18151547/new-horizons-ultima-thule-flyby-new-years-day

"A billion miles past Pluto, in the farthest reaches of the solar system, lies an object called Ultima Thule. Its name means “beyond the known world.”"

& what kind of "Thing" might It encounter far "Out There" "beyond" what's "known"?

"It’s irregularly shaped and about 18 miles across."

9 again eh? ...in "space the final frontier"?

"...the New Years flyby is significant because Ultima will be the very farthest object in the solar system humanity has ever explored, and one of the most primitive."

"primitive"? instinctive / threat perception or in the sense of an origin? Does something need to be pointed the way "home"?

“We expect that Ultima is the most well-preserved sample of a planetary building block ever explored,”, “What will Ultima reveal? No one knows. To me, that is what’s most exciting — this is pure exploration and fundamental science!”

The "pure" "fundamental" of "science" is a lack of knowledge?

"To Stern, the flyby — and the images that come from it — will be akin to the famous “Earthrise” photo taken by the Apollo 8 mission 50 years ago ... It was the first time we saw our own planet from the perspective of another world."

The "Blue Marble"(/pearl) bonus gifts the notion of a non-Human "perspective" (enabled by "Lucifer's Technologies").

“As a result we have made Carl Sagan’s prediction that in just a generation or two the planets would be transformed from points of light to real and explored worlds.”

Sagan, author of "The Demon Haunted World" & "Dragons of Eden".

"...the very best image of Pluto we had from 2015 transform into what New Horizons saw... It went from a smudgy blob to a thing of beauty."

"transform" / "blob" / "beauty" (& The Beast"?), just a matter of "persepctive" these details.

"New Horizons will also be carrying messages from the public (submissions ended on December 21)"

21st December... not at all observed as a date of ritual import...

Falkirk, "An Eaglais Bhreac" (Scottish Gaelic) "is a derivative formed from the Scottish Gaelic cognate of the first recorded name Ecclesbrith from the Brittonic for "speckled church", presumably referring to a church building built of many-coloured stones. The Scottish Gaelic name was translated into Scots as Fawkirk (literally "variegated church"...", sounds just the location for further Shimmerings to be made manifest especially those that might make use of "New Horizon's" transmission to Earth as means of facilitating Its expression.

(Bonus: "Kirk" = "church", churches being unknown in Scotland prior to this land also falling to the alien ideology of Christianity. Also James T., the 9's abound.)

"Moore is a singular and titanic figure in the comic-book world...", "A huge fan of New Scientist, Moore says "When I read it, it's like a parasite winnowing for gold. Like, yes...what can I use here?"", "In the 1980's, Moore worked on an obscure vegetable-based monster in the DC stable of superheroes called Swamp Thing. He turned it into an eco-warrior, using it to explore ideas of non-animal consciousness and eco-connectivity that are now gaining credibility."

This is the same issue with a feature titled "Life, rewritten": "When you look at DNA what you see is imperfection. We thought we could do better", "Jellyfish pseudo-creatures", & another titled "A seven-step plan to save the planet", "7" = "Change Ourselves".

There's no subtext in all these features, & the rest of the "there's still time to save" ourselves bits & pieces that make up issue No. 3207, the message is unveiled: Humanity must "change".

(Bonus: Trevor Paglen is mentioned in a piece, "Space is the ultimate place to exhibit": "His new piece, Orbital Reflector, is a giant diamond-shaped balloon...", & the hits keep comin': “Astronaut Chris Hadfield’s cover of Space Oddity, recontextualised a classic in orbit”.)

  10. Not sure if these are full-on syncs; but here are at least a few more echoes for the pile, connecting the Twins, the Great Upside-Down, meteors, the Moon, the coming Transgenetic Revolution, and plane crashes...

The archons seem to consider O'Brady's pilgrimage to Victorialand extremely important, given the amount of press it's received (no mistake: this was a brave and praiseworthy achievement: but it was a *new* achievement only if you were willing to play loose with the terms, as CLK pointed out): so I figured the semiotics would be worth some ontologicaly-paranoid scrutiny...

O'Brady's path through the TRANSantarctic Mountains (and yeah, I honestly think that means something; sorry!) roughly followed that of the richest meteor-field on Earth, as discovered by ASMET (the Antarctic Search for Meteorites) in 1982 (when "Garlands" was released). It was there that the first-ever lunar meteorite (a meteorite that, unlike 90-odd percent of meteorites, didn't originate in the Asteroid Belt, but came here as debris from an impact on the Moon) was discovered in 1986 ("Victorialand" and "Moon and the Melodies"). And O'Brady would have passed fairly close to both Mount Elizabeth and Mount Nimrod.

On 1/23/2013, a Twin(!) Otter(ley) skiplane crashed into Mount Elizabeth, killing the trio of passengers it carried: an echo of "She Will Destroy You", from "Moon and the Melodies".

Mount Nimrod got my attention because of the elaborate mythology fundamentalist Christians have spun around him. It's not very widely known (Fundamentalist Christians being almost as rare as left-handed unicorns these days, even if the media wants us to think we're one Supreme Court confirmation away from the Handmaid's Tale), but an extra-Biblical mythos has grown up around Nimrod, the Watchers, and the Deluge, in which the sin of Noah's generation wasn't merely miscegenation with fallen angels, but also genetic engineering: often, fossils are pointed to as the remains of the chimerae that were being bred in those days. After the Flood, the Watchers taught the science to Nimrod in his throne room atop the Tower of Babel; for fear of provoking the wrath of the deity again, tampering with species was no longer practiced openly, but was passed down in secret through the ages, to be brought forth again in the Last Days.

I was lucky enough to have been raised a backwoods Freewill Baptist (and had a fundamentalist Pentecostal wife for a decade after that), so I got to watch this mythology go from a fringe idea to something very near an unwritten Article of Faith. And I'm not at all certain any longer that these folks are wrong.

So O'Brady's pilgrimage over the Moon (at a time when the Apollo astronauts and their reading of the *Creation* story were also much in the news) to Victorialand looks almost like a Working. (Not, of course, that he would necessarily have had to be in on it; the archons love to take something someone was going to do anyway, and charge it with their own power, for their own purposes.)

Sorry for the length. Hope the info was entertaining, if not enlightening. As always, CLK, keep up the stellar work!

  13. Spacey / Underwood / Urquhart / Loch Ness / Boleskin House / The Beast...

    http://www.clanurquhart.com

"the Clan derives its name from Glen Urquhart and Urquhart Castle on Loch Ness"

The Urquhart crest includes a dagger wielding mermaid.

"There is said to be a mermaid,of enchanting beauty who graces the Black Isle with song and voice no mortal can match. Many men have seen her, but only the most resolved or most foolhardy will dare to approach her. It is said that if you can catch her, to gain her freedom she will grant you three wishes…. but if you fail to hold her fast to the shore, she will drag you down to the secret depths from which no man has returned. You might think this an easy task, but do not be fooled for she has the magical strength of five men. Therefore, be warned by the wisdom of ages to trifle not with the beautiful creature, but be content to listen to her song."

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clan_Urquhart

"The meaning of the word Urquhart itself has been given various Scottish Gaelic translations including woodside, by a rowan wood, or fort on a knoll."

Their motto: "Meane weil, speak weil and doe weil.", their War Cry: "Trust and go forward" & their Plant Badge is a wallflower ("The genus name Erysimum is derived from the Greek word 'Eryo' meaning to drag.", "Wallflowers are native to southwest Asia, the Mediterranean, Europe, Africa (Cabo Verde), Micronesia, and North America through Costa Rica.", so not at all native to Scotland.)

"Underwood" = ""dweller at the edge of the woods", from Old English under and wudu."

"Dweller on the Threshold" comes to mind, "dwell":

"v. Old English dwellan "to mislead, deceive," originally "to make a fool of, lead astray," from Proto-Germanic *dwaljanan (cf. Old Norse dvöl "delay," dvali "sleep;" Middle Dutch dwellen "to stun, make giddy, perplex;" Old High German twellen "to hinder, delay;" Danish dvale "trance, stupor," dvaelbÊr "narcotic berry," source of Middle English dwale "nightshade"), from PIE *dhwel- , from root *dheu- (1) "dust, cloud, vapor, smoke" (and related notions of "defective perception or wits").

Related to Old English gedweola "error, heresy, madness." Sense shifted in Middle English through "hinder, delay," to "linger" (c.1200, as still in phrase to dwell upon ), to "make a home" (mid-13c.). Related: Dwelled ; dwelt ; dwells."

A "Star Trek" subtext, perhaps not so explicitly explored in "Discovery"(?), is of Human Beings (the elite class being Starfleet officers) being essentially "fucked with" by something alien & the resulting "defective perception" being overcome / understood / incorporated. Did Anthony Rapp's own "encounter at farpoint" potentiate his casting as "Paul Stamets" "Chief engineer aboard the USS Discovery and a science officer specializing in astromycology (the study of fungi in space) whose research led to development of an experimental organic propulsion system on the Discovery."?

"It's more fun being the villain" is a common thespian sentiment.

So, we watched the UFC 232 tonight, watched some great fights, and due to a 4 month old not wanting to sleep, we decided to explore some lesser known fighting leagues. We stumbled upon a league, one that is owned/partnered with the UFC, and it is called Invicta Fighting Championship. Shortened it is know as Invicta FC. We watched their latest production, Invicta FC 33. I didn't pick up on the until I heard them say that they were fighting in the Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, MO/KS? I mentioned to my wife that Scottish Rite Freemasonry is where 33 comes from, and then notice that is the 33rd Invicta FC. What!? So, I look up Invicta on the interwebs, and in Chaldean numerology Invicta is 3, and in Pythagorean numerology it is 6! Still looking into anymore synchronicity, but my mind is blown. What would a women's fighting league have to do with the whole grand scheme? Thank you Chris for your amazing research!

"‘From what I gather, none have been sold. They have gone to the house or family.’ He added that he believed Sandringham was the first place to successfully harvest black truffles in the UK, but was unable to comment on the size of the crop. ‘You will never get that information out of a truffle plantation owner. 28. I wondered what that fish skin like tattoo was on Jason Momoa's arm and found out -
"In one of Jason’s charming interviews, he revealed that his large forearm tattoo is his family’s crest, which represents their guardian, the shark. “It’s supposed to take the darkness out and bring in the light, but we’re still working on that,” he said of the shark-tooth pattern.

Inked Magazine: During a 2013 Q&A session at Armageddon Expo in New Zealand, Momoa talked about his forearm tattoo, explaining that the unique triangle ink is a tribute to ‘aumakua, or his family god or crest.
In Hawaiian mythology, the ‘aumakua is a benevolent ancestral guardian spirit or protector who has died and come back in a different form to protect the family and, in Momoa’s case, his family’s guardian spirit is a shark.
“It’s supposed to take the darkness out of your heart and bring the light in,” Momoa said of the arm tattoo, which features repeating rows of light and dark triangles representing sharks’ teeth, “but we’re still working on that.”
According to Momoa, the ‘aumakua tattoo is also meant to protect him when he enters the water, which is a good thing, considering his Aquaman character in Justice League is the ruler of Atlantis and the Earth’s oceans, who has the ability to command all sea life.
More specifically, the shark-teeth tattoo is meant to show sharks that Momoa is one of their own so they leave him alone. The design of the tattoo obviously means a lot to the actor, and he recently carved a similar pattern featuring rows of triangles into the top of a keg of Guinness, his favorite beer."
