This all started when I tried to watch the latest Stranger Things series and was defeated after a few minutes of 200-proof cringe. Then I happened upon an episode of Supernatural that I realized was an unofficial remake of The Shuttered Room, a Lovecraft adaptation that scared the absolute beejesus out of me when I was a kid.
What could possibly be the connection here?
Well, I started pulling at those threads and ended up back on the Ghislaine Maxwell beat, since I had just finished my epic livestream on the ritual killing of Jeffrey Epstein.
That led to my investigation into the seemingly-incongruous obsession that Ghislaine has with Ursula K. Le Guin’s EarthSea Chronicles, particularly the elements therein borrowed from Lovecraft.
And that ended up with the Atlantis livestream, since a link a reader had sent made me realize that the Lost Continent - and the secret religion that’s been built around it - was the key to the entire mystery.
And as often happens when you break a massive code, there was a major real-world repercussion, and in this case it took place just as I was getting ready to start the stream…
