Non Sic Iste Non Cessat Loqui

Well, I finally got around to watching this marvelous documentary. Y'know, I'm going through a bit of a Cinéma vérité phase, as it were. I wanted to post on it today but time constraints forbid. If you haven't seen it yet, please do. Maybe we can have a roundtable on it.

So yeah, I'm super, super pressed for time so let me just drop some fresh apocalypse on your heads and allow you good and eminently-qualified people to sort it all out.

Terrible CGI

Faker than the fakest fraud. Stupid. Intelligence-insulting.

The war against cars roars on. And who's behind all this? Why..rrhtyhhu-e842-598-q3984657)(%#$)()*%&$#_*%&_#%#%&#_*%&##@#RKEJHRE:JFV....................................

Sorry, I just died from shock and surprise and had to be resuscitated by paramedics. It took them a while to get here.

........
And I have a brilliant plan to become a trillionaire and plural-marry a harem of supermodels.

Prediction: my plan will reach fruition before NASA's ever does.
........

First we have the pearly dewdrops rising from Antarctica and now weird sounds? Interesting. Where is this all going down?
........

The Ross Ice Shelf? Where's that?

Oh, of course. Off the coast of Victorialand. Where else?

........
Speaking of pearlies. When was this picture taken?

Wow, you mean the day after Chris Cornell died? What else happened that day?
........

Oh. Right.

Wow, there's an interesting logo. I wonder what might have happened there on September 3rd? Anyone hear anything interesting pertaining to that date?

Those wacky researchers and their nutty AI recipes for pizza! What a panic! And those AI Nephilim? Hilarious! And those Anunaki wolverchimp exterminator CRISPR-chimeras? And aerosolized Ebola?

Stop, stop! I'm going to bust a gut here!

Oh, did it now? Funny, I seem to remember a book--actually a series of books-- based on a remarkably similar proposition. Anyone remember those books? Written by Zack somebody or other?

Help me out here, people.

You have the gift of the gab, no days off for good behaviour, but this robotic stuff is what it is (absolutely definitely bad news). Although Boston Dynamics aren't at the forefront of AI research, so "IT" won't come from them (in fact they'll be left behind). 2. @Anon728: if you think this blog is a distraction, why are you reading it? Please don't hear that as combatative. It's an honest question I have whenever I read comments similar to yours.

For that matter, why don't *you* blog about what we can actually do about it? If you think you have the answer to what we should be doing, why aren't you trying to get the word out. (And, for the record, I think I've got the answer, and I'm trying to spread the word: but I don't think it's proper etiquette to clog up the comment section of CLK's blog preaching my solution.)

I think a lot of regular Secret Sun readers would agree with me that part of what we love about this blog is that CLK *doesn't* blog about "what we can actually do about it", He collates a vast amount of information, sifts through it to find the syncs, points out the roots and trends of what's happening in this world...but never tells us that we should pray to Jesus, or Abraxas; that we should vote Right, or Left; that we should boycott or support whoever/whatever...

That's one reason why the readership of this blog is so diverse: because CLK doesn't have any agenda beyond helping people to understand the world as it is.

      Cheers.

They're actually teaching sex robots to do SMBD stuff, how to whip humans into submission and cause them very intimate pain.

They've also made robots that eat meat and convert it into energy, somehow.

James Cameron was an optimist. In real life, the Terminators won't just hunt us down and kill us as fast as possible, no, they will sadistically rape us and torture us for hours, until they decide to literally eat us alive.

Not to mention that the ultimate A.I. in charge will be very much like Lovecraft's Great Old Ones, beyond good and evil and able to warp reality as they see fit, at least according to the idiotic scientist who founded the "Church of A.I." The Book of Revelations might also have been optimistic.

Great God Pan, please save us. I know it's all pure entertainment to you, you are the Dreamer after all, but for f***'s sake, it's turning into a f***ing nightmare down here.

  8. I only want to chime in with the point-of-view of a bleary-eyed imagery analyst of too many years; if that was CGI, then it's definitely not terrible. The shadows and texture of the bot are pretty advanced if that's the case. Bad CGI sticks out like a bald parrot. Even good, expensive CGI is glaringly noticeable, especially at 48 - 60 FPS. I will say from seeing one of the BD robots operate in person a few years back (a six-legged equipment transport), this is not even close to a surprising development.

  10. & for more apocalyptic fun: the Clade X pandemic simulation "game", courtesy of our pals at John Hopkins:

    http://www.centerforhealthsecurity.org/our-work/events/2018_clade_x_exercise/

"Clade X is a day-long pandemic tabletop exercise that simulated a series of National Security Council–convened meetings of 10 US government leaders, played by individuals prominent in the fields of national security or epidemic response.

Drawing from actual events, Clade X identified important policy issues and preparedness challenges that could be solved with sufficient political will and attention. These issues were designed in a narrative to engage and educate the participants and the audience.

Lessons learned were distilled and shared broadly following the exercise.

    Purpose

Faced with a rapidly evolving biological threat landscape, government leaders in the United States and abroad are eager to identify long-term policy commitments that will strengthen preparedness and mitigate risk. Clade X illustrated high-level strategic decisions and policies needed to prevent a severe pandemic or diminish its consequences should prevention fail.

Similar to findings from the Center's two previous exercises, Dark Winter and Atlantic Storm, key takeaways from Clade X will educate senior leaders at the highest level of the US government, as well as members of the global policy and preparedness community and the general public. This is distinct from many other forms of tabletop exercises that test protocols or technical policies of a specific organization.

In addition, exercises like Clade X are a particularly effective way to help policymakers gain a fuller understanding of the urgent challenges they could face in a dynamic, real-world crisis."

Sergei Astrankin, the director of emergency medicine for Crimea, was cited by Russian state television as saying the death toll from Wednesday’s attack had risen to 19. The shooter, who committed suicide afterward, apparently was not included in that number."

    1. Different anon here. Have you ever seen a fat school shooter? The conventional narrative for school shootings is a mixture of bullying and mental illness (plus easily available weapons) leads in some cases to mass murder.

Problem: 'Bigger' kids tend to be bullied, additionally weight gain is a side effect of some SSRI treatments & other psychiatric drugs. Yet it seems that pretty much every shooter is slim or at most has a few extra pounds. Statistically you'd expect a good 20% or more of these characters to be noticeably overweight.

Mind you if bullying and pills explained it you'd also expect 50% to be female.

Suppose instead we could ask why these guys are so obsessed with totalitarian politics or why they mainly come from successful middle-class families often with links to the military. Pure coincidence or are they trainees for the terror to come?

      Delete
    2. Anon 7:28, your last paragraph nails it I think. Having seen how some of those middle (and upper class) connected kids have been treated I've had my suspicions for a while. Many powerful people do not seem to see or treat their children as regular people do.

I've also been curious about the many tragic deaths among the powerful and famous and their families, wondering how many involved first-born children. I've been meaning to research this as I sometimes wonder if the old tradition of sacrificing a first-first born may still live on in more modern ways.

Since it is the Guardian after all, left unmentioned are two rather looming questions. Should an AI-involved war begin, what kill switch will be used to cease hostilities?

Second, what happens when AI becomes the MIC? At some point those all-too-full-of-themselves MIC parasites will be recognized by the AI for being just that, and presumably the AI will rationally kill them off or otherwise neutralize them.

So, there are at least a couple of good reasons for a killswitch, yet it never gets mentioned. Keep an eye on that.

Also, you almost had to think CC knew about this when creating his black oil mythology:

    https://www.theatlantic.com/science/archive/2018/10/meet-endoterrestrials/571939/

Note the how the oily samples of this special earth core from Oman are the ones that signal life or at least precursors. And especially note the odd reference to the sulfur smell.

    Here's a good summary quote:

A new section of core, freshly raised from the borehole, was lowered onto a sawhorse—a stone cylinder 10 feet long and as big around as the fat end of a baseball bat, concealed in a metal pipe.

Workers lifted one end of the pipe. And out slid the core—along with a gush of black gunk. Glops of thick, dark sludge dripped on the ground. The core was covered from end to end.

“Oh my god,” someone said. “Oya.” Murmurs all around.

A worker wiped down the core, and pinprick bubbles erupted on its smooth, sheeny surface—reminiscent of the bubbles in hot cooking oil. The stone, no longer pressurized underground, was degassing before our eyes, the bubbles squirting out through pores in the rock. The odor of sewer and burnt rubber rose into the air—a smell that had instant meaning for the scientists present.

“That rock is seriously alive,” said Templeton.

    “Hydrogen sulfide,” said Kelemen.

Hydrogen sulfide—a gas found in sewers, in your intestines, and, apparently, underground in Oman—is produced by microbes living in the absence of oxygen. Deprived of that life-giving gas, they pull a trick that no animal on Earth can do: They breathe something else. In other words, they burn their food using some other chemical that is available underground.

    1. Sulfate reducing bacteria (SRB) live mostly in anaerobic environments with little or no oxygen gas. As you mentioned, that includes muds, sediments, plumbing pipes, intestinal tracts. Their type of anaerobic respiration produces lots of ATP; and hydrogen sulfide that smells bad like rotten eggs to humans and is toxic. Petroleum companies check for number and activity of SRB in their oil fields because The SRB can oxidize and use up The petroleum deposits underground.

  16. Wow September 3rd is steep in military battles, wars, and military celebrations around the world. However, something else interesting caught my eye and resonant strongly with the Freemasonry aspects covered earlier within your latest blog entry.

On September 3rd, 301 – San Marino, one of the smallest nations in the world and the world's oldest republic still in existence, is founded by Saint Marinus.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/September_3#Holidays_and_observances

And just who was Saint Marinus?

"Saint Marinus was the founder of a chapel and monastery, in 301. From this initial community the state of San Marino later grew. Tradition holds that he was a stonemason by trade who came from the island of Rab, on the other side of the Adriatic Sea (in what is now part of modern Croatia, but then part of the Roman Empire), fleeing persecution for his Christian beliefs in the Diocletianic Persecution."

"Still known only by the single name Marinus (lit. of the sea), he became a Deacon, and was ordained by Gaudentius, the Bishop of Rimini; later, he was recognised and accused by an insane woman of being her estranged husband, so he quickly fled to Monte Titano to build a chapel-monastery and live as a hermit."

"There he built a chapel and monastery. Marinus was canonised as a saint, and later, the State of San Marino grew up from the centre created by the monastery. His feast day/memorial day is 3 September, commemorating the day, in 301, when he founded what became known as San Marino, which is also the state's national holiday. He is venerated in the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox faiths."

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Marinus

^^^^I believe we may have a BINGO with Saint Marinus for 9/3.

  21. Just a few notes on the proposed NASA manned mission to Venus...

To my eyes, this looks like something put out there for ritual purposes. First: it's not news; there have been plans drawn up to float ships (or even cities) in Venus atmosphere since at least the 70s, and probably before. As most Secret Sunners probably already know, whenever something old suddenly becomes news, it's probably ritual.

Second: a manned mission to Venus is a ridiculous proposition, right from the start. There's nothing we can learn from a manned mission that we couldn't learn from a robotic probe (which would be far simpler and far cheaper).

(Please, no one mistake me: there are real mysteries on Venus that merit real investigation. For instance, the atmosphere of Venus is out of chemical equilibrium- in the least geeky possible terms, the atmosphere there is different than what it should be if only geological/chemical processes were in play; this is often considered one of the hallmarks of life. And there's also something in the atmosphere of Venus that's absorbing ultraviolet light; with ordinary spectroscopy, we can't tell exactly what it is, but we can tell that it has a complicated molecular structure. It's led many scientists to speculate that extremophile bacteria have colonized Venus' cloud canopy. But we won't know til we actually get a sample. But that would be child's play for an unmanned probe.)

Of course, not being in the loop, I can only guess at the Working that requires them to get Venus into the public consciousness right now. But I think it might have something to do with the fact that Venus is Orange.

Not as seen in the sky, of course. But as seen from the surface, *everything* is Orange. Because the sunlight there has to filter through thick, sulfur-laden clouds, you have an orange sky above barren orange ground. It's truly beautiful, in its own way. (http://mentallandscape.com/C_CatalogVenus.htm ) But, considering how the archons have went mad for orange lately, I have to think that putting a manned Venus mission in the news has semiotic importance.

Anyway, that's one man's musings. Hope someone finds it useful.

If nearly a decade interviewing the wealth managers for the 1% taught me anything, it is that the ultra-rich and the ultra-poor have a lot more in common than stereotypes might lead you to believe.

In conversation, wealth managers kept coming back to the flamboyant vices of their clients. It was quite unexpected, in the course of discussing tax avoidance, to hear professional service providers say things like:

“I’ve told my colleagues: ‘If I ever become like some of our clients, shoot me.’ Because they are really immoral people – too much time on their hands, and all the money means they have no limits. I was actually told by one client not to bring my wife on a trip to Monaco unless I wanted to see her get hit on by 10 guys. The local sport, he said, was picking up other men’s wives.”

The clients of this Geneva-based wealth manager also “believe that they are descended from the pharaohs, and that they were destined to inherit the earth”.

But when you deny physical reality, or known historical scientifically verifiable facts -- I will most definitely call you out for reasoning in error.

  38. A Dark Song was a good watch. It left me wondering if Solomon actually had something to do with Jacks disappearance, being she gets revenge for his killer, by the knife wound. Then she forgives him in the water burial. In his death bed he mentions that he misses his sister so bad...not sure where that comes from, unless they are related as he hints to stating they have much in common more than she thinks. I felt she was kinda resistant and not surrendering until they cut her finger off. Was kinda hoping she was dead meat considering her attitude through out most of the flick was one of disbelief, dishonesty and doubt Amazing the idea that contextual items can be conjured up by reoccurring ritual practices. As if that is what is exactly going on all around us on a grand scale, or what some have been hinting at as happening. Just want to gain some quiet before the howl.

    1. Gotta love their sense of humor rubbing our noses in it. I'm pretty sure thought that "trading robots" first closed the market (early even) with one of their algorithmic trading crashes a few years ago.
