Earth Akhet Addendum: Plan (the) Nine from Outer Space

From the all-time classic, Plan 9 from Outer Space- a UFO (actually a hubcap) zooms by the old Mocambo nightclub on the Sunset Strip. Who's the headliner? Eartha Kitt. What are the odds? 

UPDATE: Or the odds of this- Plan 9 was Bela Lugosi's last movie. He was replaced by a guy who held a cape in front of his face the whole movie. The actor's name? Tom Mason ("Masonic Twin"). 

And Jason reminds us that Lugosi was brilliantly portrayed by Martin "Oannes" Landau in the must-see biopic, Ed Wood.

UPDATE II: Speaking of cat-woman divas, here's the same conjunction from the Olympics that we see in the Rihanna video- the young diva Leona Lewis on a pedestal and the Crowleyean rocker Jimmy Page. As much as I love Pagey and the mighty Zep, I must ask myself- what the hell does this have to do with the Olympics? 

Note the green sun motif and the obigatory checkerboard (yawn) at the beginning of the video. My question is this- why did the Brits chose to present themselves as street rowdies to the world? "Whole Lotta Love" was the song that Jeff Buckley was singing when he went down to the Sirens in Memphis.
