Nephilim, Seraphim, Let's Call the Whole Thing Off

The Pearl entrainment campaign train keeps-a-rollin', and hot on the heels of the Gucci's Pearl-heavy 2018 advertising blitz -- which seems to have been the official kickoff for this particular liturgy of the Never-Ending Ritual -- the floodgates have well and truly opened, the levee's gone and broke, the dam has finally burst.

Go-Go, Vegas, Go!

The floodgates are now open. All of the huge marketing and PR consulting firms have cashed their seven and eight-figure paychecks and the marching orders have all been handed out to the media.

Stunning! PhilaeDelphi Vegas Go to Super Bowl! Surprising!

Seventeen!

In a stroke of improbability so improbabilistic it has shaken the very foundations of Probabilism itself, the PhilaeDelphi Vegas beat the Twinesota Vikings and will be squaring off against Twin Brady and his New Atlantis Baphomets!

"The BEAST Awakens at KEK"

I realize I've been bombarding everyone with information for the past several weeks but you know the old saying; fish while they're biting.

CERN Watch: Are CERN and D::Wave Overwriting Time?

So I'm sure all of you are familiar with the Mandala Effect. For some weird reason I seem to remember most of the things that people swear didn't happen ( I quite clearly remember having a discussion with my mother about the "Berenstain" thing when I was about nine), but I have my own examples of time getting unstuck.

Babylon's Burning

Well, California wildfires are back in the news, this time in the south. Because these fires are striking at a major nerve center, so to speak, they seem to be getting a lot more attention in the news. And because of this we're getting a flood of truly terrifying images, film and video.

Terrifying and apocalyptic. Is 2017 working up to a Hollywood climax?

"Full of Ritual"

I'm not sure why The Guardian chose to write about it now, but the city of Perth has its arts festival coming up in February. And apparently the program for the festival is-- and I quote-- "full of ritual."

Of course it is. Because sooner than you think, everything will be.

Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers Prophesy the New State Religion

Madonna should really lay off the steroids.

I wrote recently that I'm increasingly uncomfortable in covering some of the spectacle being broadcast out there, just as it was during Bread and Circuses era of the Roman Empire.

Super Bowl XLWhatever Semiotics

Two stars, and vaguely familiar stripes...

Well, today's the day of the "Big Game." The Pittsburgh Steelers will face off against the Arizona Cardinals in Tampa. The game will be aired on NBC, the "Peacock Network."* I find it especially interesting that the game is on NBC this year, since last Sunday they aired the excruciating TV mini-series adaptation of Raymond Khoury's The Last Templar, which starred New Jersey's own Mira Sorvino (who won an Ausur® for Mighty Aphrodite).

Maybe this is part three of the story.
