Clownshow 2016: Their Campaign Logos Speak the Unspeakable

This blog really found its voice during the 2008 Presidential Elections when I noticed that the two major candidates running for office seemed to incorporating the hieroglyph for Sirius in their campaign logos.

Or more accurately, the Stairway to Sirius.

Stairway to Sirius: Ground Zero Blues

As much as anyone who wasn't actually in Manhattan that day, I was deeply traumatized by 9/11. Nearly every single one of my friends was in the city that day and the day before my best friend told me he had terminal cancer. My son's football coach was killed as was his friend's father. All told, seventeen people from my town died in the event.

John Cusack, Superstar: Pushing Tin

 

  Well, the full trailer for 2012 is here. And as to be expected from a Roland Emmerich film, it's chock-full of mass destruction and genocide. The guy certainly has a knack for it, doesn't he? 

Apocalyptic film seems to have an added appeal during times of malaise like this one- it's the ultimate fantasy of the global reset button. Of course, no one watching pictures themselves amongst the piles of dead the dogs are picking at, they see the blood and fire through the eyes of the stars (John Cusack in this case, re-teamed with Martian Child co-star Amanda Peet) reaching that brand new day on the other side of it- the "Morning After" Maureen McGovern warbled about all those years ago.

Did you watch the season finale of Fringe? The show took its time getting its act together, but seems to have constructed a fairly compelling mythology.

Huh? The two were separated by 13 centuries. What do the two have to do with one another, other than that they were both Egyptian? Well, maybe not much on the exoteric level, but perhaps a bit more on the esoteric, symbolic level.

The headline had it that the ritual could be "seen from space," and indeed it would have been incomprehensible to anyone less than two thousand feet or so in the air.

In the first installment of this series, we looked at the incorporation of elements of the hieroglyph for Sirius in the McCain/Obama campaign logos. Next we looked at what certainly appears to be a move to symbolically tie Sarah Palin to Isis and Sirius, starting with her speech at the RNC. 

What we must remember is that the very term "president" comes from ancient ritual, as does his "inauguration."

As Synchronicity would have it I'd been poring through some old YouTube clips of The Brady Bunch Hour (don't ask) just when Jake unleashed his new manifesto.
