Gods Save the King

Jack Kirby would have been 95 today. This has been a banner year for "The King of Comics," with The Avengers and Prometheus (heavily based on his 70s epic The Eternals) cleaning up at the box office. Other films, video games and comic books continue to recycle his work, as they have for decades now.

Another Kind of Language

About three years ago, I marked the occasion of John Keel's death by writing about some of the strange, semiotic links I have to the Mothman. There were so many of them, and these syncs seemed to pop up at such important turning points in my career, that I thought it was all worthy of a post.
