Last week saw the 10th anniversary of the first - and only real - Stranger Things. It was a near-perfect series of television, but soonafter the franchise was utterly destroyed, for quite ridiculous reasons.
The series became more and more clownish and cartoonish as it went on, as well as more Marvelish. By the end, Stranger Things was the total and complete refutation of its original incarnation. Its final season jumped the shark with such moronic abandon that literal thousands of videos were made by hardcore fans seething with rage over the betrayal.
As the most successful series Netflix ever launched, the utter destruction that its Woke execs wreaked upon its reputation is now destroying the platform itself. Netflix stock has tanked by nearly half, wiping out untold billions in value and ravaging 401Ks at the worst possible time.
This is the apotheosis of "killing the goose that laid the golden eggs." And for the absolute pettiest of reasons.
