Daveigh Chase (1990-2026): Another Diddy Victim?

In case you haven't heard the news, the Hollywood murder-machine has claimed yet another young victim...

Daveigh Chase, best known as the voice of Lilo in Lilo & Stitch and the child antagonist Samara in The Ring, died in a Los Angeles hospital on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at the age of 35. Her father confirmed she passed away from complications of bacterial meningitis and a blood infection that led to sepsis.

Prior to her passing, she had been experiencing homelessness and living in an RV on the streets of downtown Los Angeles. She was admitted to the hospital for malnutrition earlier in June.

In the months preceding her death, concerns grew regarding her living situation after a video circulated showing her in fragile health on Skid Row. Friends, family, and a private investigator had reportedly been trying to locate and assist her.

Damn it all.

You know, my friend Tracy Twyman once told me that she believed we all died in 2012 and are all now in Hell. I thought she had lost it back then, but when I read about what happened to this incredibly talented young woman, I can't help but start to wonder if maybe Tracy was right.

Back in the 00s, Daveigh's star burned ever more brightly as it rose and rose, and she seemed destined for the A+ list. But as soon as she turned eighteen (in 2008) the A-list roles completely dried up and she spent the remainder of her short career in Redbox Hell.

She dropped out of sight ten years ago, and became the focus of countless "Whatever Happened To" videos, like the one above. Rumors ran rampant, but no one had any idea she'd taken to living on the streets, apparently in fear of something or someone she dared not discuss.

Drugs and homelessness - despite having a reportedly huge nest egg - did what they always do, and Daveigh began running in with John Law:
Chase was arrested on August 6, 2018 by the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood division on the drug charge, which was a misdemeanor. According to The New York Daily News, she spent two hours behind bars before being released on a $1,000 bond.

The arrest is the latest in a string of run-ins with the law for the actress. Chase was previously arrested and locked up on a $25,000 bond in November 2017 on charges of driving in a stolen car without the owner’s consent.

That same year, while under arrest for an outstanding traffic misdemeanor warrant, Chase was questioned by police about allegedly leaving an unidentified man outside a Hollywood hospital before fleeing the scene.

The man was pronounced dead by hospital employees upon discovery, but Chase, who reportedly spent time with the man prior to the incident, was not charged with any crime or playing any role in the death.

Then came the horror - Daveigh was dying, and was seen on video in a terrifyingly emasciated state. Another bright and promising child star was being extinguished in the most horrifying of ways:
Chase’s boyfriend told TMZ, which broke the news of her death, that she died from meningitis and an infection in her blood after being hospitalized in Los Angeles for malnutrition earlier this month.

Her father also confirmed her death to the New York Times, saying that she had been homeless and living in Los Angeles with her boyfriend. He told the newspaper she had been struggling with drugs since the age of 13.
Wait: did they say the age of 13?

Well, let's have a close look at this next video. It's of Daveigh Chase at the MTV Movie Awards, at the age of - wait for it - thirteen...

Sweet Jesus, it was all so in your face, wasn't it? How did we not see what was in front of our eyes?

Diddy could barely contain his lustful glee, or even try to conceal what he had planned for this child at one of his notorious orgies.

Of course, Diddy didn't have to conceal it at all, because he knew he was absolutely untouchable at the time, thanks to the patronage of music-mobsters like Clive Davis back then, and Obama a few years later.

But maybe this was all just par for the course for Diddy. Read this:

One of the most notable complaints by a young girl against Sean "P Diddy" Combs involved a civil lawsuit where an anonymous "Jane Doe" alleged she was drugged and raped at an MTV Video Music Awards after-party in 2000, when she was just 13 years old.

The details of the complaint include:

  • The lawsuit claims the teenager was invited to an after-party in New York.
  • Upon arrival, she was allegedly forced to sign a non-disclosure agreement before entering.
  • Inside the party, the girl was given a drink that made her feel woozy, causing her to go to a separate bedroom to lie down.
  • The complaint alleges that Combs and other unnamed celebrities followed her into the room and sexually assaulted her.

Combs and his legal team have continuously and categorically denied all allegations of misconduct across his civil lawsuits.

Jane Doe dropped the case in 2025, leaving a lot of folks wondering who got to her, or if she was bought off. It doesn't really matter, though; we all know what Diddy is now, and we all know what a moral cesspool the entertainment business is.

And it's a business that eats its children.

We may never know the details, but I really don't think Daveigh just spiralled for no good reason. I see all the tell-tale signs of a victim here, and a pure young soul who was forced to see and do things no one should ever have to. You can just tell.

It's actually at such a point now where we don't even need to know the details. We've heard the horror stories so often, the details really don't matter.

We've talked about Daveigh a bit in the Fraseverse, especially for Donnie Darko and its direct-to-video sequel, S. Darko.

And here we hear the Sibyl sing the closing theme of the latter film, and I hope that that young Las Vegas girl (born 55 days before the release of HOLV) finds the peace in the next world that eluded her in this one.
