The Killing Moon, the River of Death (UPDATED)

I understand some people might still not grasp the sheer, cyclopean scale of the Tsunami of Sync surrounding the drowning death of an obscure yet highly-regarded rock singer twenty-one years ago, or the mind-boggling width and depth of the high strangeness hovering over that singer's onetime lover, herself a well-regarded (and immensely influential) cult singer.

Not to mention a strange attractor the likes of which I've never even imagined, never mind've seen.

I get it.

People don't follow the blog as religiously as I'd like to imagine and it's hard to appreciate the absolute avalanche of syncs involved here when they're parceled out in fragments. There's still so much more weirdness surrounding this mythic psychodrama that it boggles the mind, but I don't want to try your patience any more than absolutely necessary.

To be honest, I'd really like to wrap it all up and move on to other topics. But what happens is that every single time I resolve myself to let the story rest, it turns around and kicks me afresh in the teeth.

I mean, EVERY.

SINGLE.

TIME.

Quite often there's another tragic and heartbreaking death involved, and this time is no exception. In this case, a 19 year-old fan of the Georgia-based jam band Widespread Panic drowned after the band's show at the Mud Island Ampitheatre in Memphis.

The fan and his friends were leaving the venue after the gig and were stifled by the summer heat and humidity.

The fan-- one Pace Taylor of Tallahassee, Florida-- thought it might be a good idea to cool off with a few splashes of muddy water from the junction of the Wolf River and the Mississippi, but slipped and fell down an embankment after hopping a concrete barrier.

Being unfamiliar with the vicious undertow of the waters off Mud Island, Taylor was soon carried away by the current. He tried to escape the tides by grabbing onto a low hanging tree branch but was unable to keep his grip and drowned shortly afterwards.

A rescue mission was launched but the currents made it impossible to police divers to search much of the area. His body was found Sunday morning.*

UPDATE: Well, the story's already changed.  According to his friend Wiley Griffin, Pace had taken two hits of acid and freaked out during the show, claiming he "had to get away from the music."

LSD and other hallucinogens open up the spiritual world to you, and unfortunately, open you up to the spiritual world. Had I been asked I would have advised young Pace to stick to beer.

"Wiley Griffin" is a fascinating name though. It essentially means "Temple Clearing of the Cherubim."

Incidentally, the Taylors are one of the Highland Scots clans.

Hmm: griffins, pyramids, live roots music under the stars, tragedy. Why does all that sound so familiar?

As fate would have it, Taylor drowned just a few hundred feet away from the spot where Jeff Buckley drowned in the early evening of May 29, 1997.

A Rolling Stone story on Buckley's death spelled out just how dangerous the spot where the singer and now this young man were summoned to the Siren's lair.

“Almost like a backwater,” Kilpatrick points out, noting the whirlpool-like eddies where the river rushes around Mud Island, “and definitely having undertows that are way underestimated.”
Unlike Buckley, Taylor had spent a lot of time on the water but was apparently disoriented after falling down the embankment and was unable to regain his balance. In both cases it was a combination of dangerous undertows and just plain shit luck.

Or something else.

Readers remember that a new Jeff Buckley biography was released on the 21st anniversary of the singer's death, exactly a month before Taylor's own tragic death.

And although they didn't perform the song on Friday, Widespread Panic has taken to covering Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah," the once-obscure song Buckley made famous and that  Chester Bennington sang at Chris Cornell's funeral, shortly before his own suicide.

And as Fortuna would have it, the concert and the tragedy took place on the third night of the Strawberry Moon, known around these parts as the Lunus Fullus Lizus Fraserus.

The Strawberry Moon was in opposition to Saturn on the first night, reminding regular readers of the crapload of Saturn symbology surrounding Heaven Upside Down or Las Vegas. The waning moon was in alignment to Mars.

Hopefully you all remember "Wax and Wane" and its synchronistic connections to the death of Deftones bassist Chi Cheng. I have some fresh information on that story that's almost staggeringly disturbing, but we'll save that for another day.

Speaking of Las Vegas, Widespread Panic played there in October, while the city was still reeling from the Harvest 91 Festival massacre. They played their cover of David Bowie's "Heroes" as well as a cover of Motorhead's "Ace of Spades."

Interesting choices there.

Anyhow, the news reports on this fresh tragedy were filled with familiar imagery, such as this shot taken a hundred feet or so from where Jeff Buckley was pulled under by the wake of a passing tugboat.

That's the "Road, River and Rail" for you gold-star Sunners.

Which of course sits under the shadow of the giant pyramid that dominates the landscape on the Wolf River.

I have to say the poster art for Widespread Panic's Memphis shows caught my eye, however. Can you see why?

Here, let me enlarge it for you. See it now?

Recognize it?

Call me crazy but the art also reminded me of this charming screencap from the Freems' 300th anniversary bash-slash-coming back out party last Halloween at Royal Albert Hall.

That was exactly 100 days after a certain Sibyl appeared there, and cheek by jowl with the creepy new Ziggurat installed on Serpentine Lake.

Widespread Panic didn't play "Hallelujah" on Friday night but it looks as if they didn't have to.

They did, however, play a cover of the Talking Heads song "Heaven," from the landmark Fear of Music. WP covered the song on their very first album, released back in 1988. They've since made it their own.

As the Gods of Sync would demand it, Talking Heads singer David Byrne appeared on Late Night with Jools Holland back in 1994, along with alt.rockers Cracker and a fab little Scottish combo you may have heard a thing or two about around these parts. The episode aired on May 28th, 1994, just three years and a day before Jeff Buckley swam to the Siren.

Oddly enough, Byrne was also born in Scotland.

One of the songs Byrne performed that night was "Angels," a tuneless little trifle that nonetheless makes for a nice thematic bookend with "Heaven." He also performed a number called "God's Child," a faintly-creepy bop he wrote with Brazilian pop legend Caetano Veloso.

"Angels" features a familiar motif, unsurprisingly:

Flying over fields & factories
Momma's goin' off her head
Daddy's bringin' home the bacon
Open up the pearly gates

The Cocteau Twins, featuring a shoegazing guitar army and an out-of-her-tree Elizabeth Fraser, performed "Summerhead," a song that seems to connect to Jeff Buckley through its title (Buckley's real name was Scott Moorhead or "S.Moorhead"). I have no idea if Fraser knew Buckley's real name at that point (I tend to doubt it), but does it really matter anyway?

It should be noted that Fraser and Buckley were pretty hot-and-heavy at the time of this appearance, however.

The Twins also performed a version of "Carolyn's Fingers," which was Fraser's showcase for this tour's notorious "dolphin-in-distress" vocal style, as fans refer to it as. It's a good term for it.

Let's put it this way- if you took Fraser's performance from this show --especially "Fingers" --and dubbed it onto some alien squid-diva in a particularly-frantic Luc Besson movie, you'd think they were trying way too hard to make it sound extraterrestrial.

PS: Note the giant, creepy eye hovering over the proceedings.

Remind you of anything?

Still not quite as unsettling as what little we see
of Fraser's own eyes in this appearance, though.

Pretty clear she had a guest, IMO.

As Fate herself would dictate, young Pace drowned 50 days before the premiere of the new Little Mermaid live-action movie, which centers around "Elizabeth, the Mermaid of the Mississippi."

I shit you not.

The Little Mermaid co-stars Shirley MacLaine, upon whom the Chris McNeil character in The Exorcist is based. MacLaine arguably kicked off the mainstreaming of the New Age in 1987 with her auto-hagiographic Out on a Limb TV movie, released just weeks before the first spotting of Supernova 1987A.

Timing is everything.

In more encouraging water-logged news, a team of Thai soccer players and their coach were found by British rescue experts in an underwater cavern, where the boys were on the verge of starving to death after being trapped in the caves for nine days.

They're not out of the woods yet, however. Monsoon conditions are making rescue near-impossible and the military is readying food and scuba trainers and planning that the kids may be trapped there for another four months.

Think about that the next time you feel like bitching about your life.

UPDATE: I'll just leave this here.

UPDATE: The same day Pace Taylor's body was found, this:

Multiple Indonesian media sources report that Nining Sunarsih was 52 and vacationing on the Citepus Beach in Sukabumi, West Java, on January 8, 2017, when a huge wave carried her out far beyond the point where onlookers felt safe swimming out to attempt to rescue the screaming woman. Professional search-and-rescue teams found nothing until a week later when a badly decomposed body washed ashore. Nining’s family denied it was her because it lacked a unique birthmark and the fingernails were different and a DNA test proved them correct. Nonetheless, all rescue operations were called off and the woman was pronounced dead by the authorities.
Fast forward to late June 2018. An elder male relative (either an uncle or a grandfather – Google translations of the reports differ) had a recurring dream where the woman told him she was alive and directed him to a beach near where she disappeared. was alive. A group of relatives accompanied him to the beach where, after searching for many hours, they found her at 4 am on July 1 … 500 meters from where she disappeared, unconscious, covered in sand and wearing the same clothes she reportedly had on 18 months ago – a floral yellow dress and black pants.

*As the Gods of Sync would will it, Taylor's body was found on my birthday. Stare into the SyncAbyss and the SyncAbyss stares back at you.

  1. After reading your post about David Bowie's The Next Day, I bought all of his less well known music over several years. I watched as many of his videos as I could find at the time. On Demand had many of Jools Holland's episodes including one where David was singing 2 songs I had never heard before. This post made me think of them.

Chris, what freaks me out the most about this non-stop great big mass of information you've been presenting us is that Elizabeth Fraser is a MANUFACTURED oracle.

They quite clearly and intentionally CRACKED HER CONSCIOUSNESS when she was a child suffering through sick f**k Nazi MK-Ultra therapy, they kept doing this kind of s**t to children until one became a perfect vessel for... whatever the hell seeped through the cracks and "inspired" her.

They didn't "find" a modern-day oracle, they MADE her, then started a cult around her. Imagine if one day they decided to manufacture other sorts of "gifted" children. How long until we get a real-life Akira?

    1. Been thinking this for a while: Anyone who read Bryce Taylor's "Thanks for the Memories" will remember her writing about 'the elite' inducing birth under certain astrological (and other) conditions, to create people born under those conditions for specific reasons (i.e. purposes).

She said They had a certain person impregnate her as a deliberate breeding, then induced birth (not sure if same baby) around manufactured conditions.

Since beginning to read about Frazer here I've wondered whether she was Bryce Taylor's stolen astrology baby, or, since that's one of likely MANY examples of this happening, another such 'manufactured', pre-MK baby.

    2. That's an interesting take, JB. I'd only counter that given the scope and complexity of all this, "they" would have to be under the influence of some kind of artificial or nonhuman intelligence.

"Gifted" children-- what a terrible thing to be. Once you show up on the radar as being "gifted," an entire machinery hums to life and does its best to try to feed off that, if not in fact weaponize that. See Johns Hopkins "Geek Camp", plus Bishop, Dr. Amy.

Real-life Akira? There's no doubt that trillions of dollars have been spent all over the world to bring such a thing about.

I also recommend you watch Requiem on Netflix. Because....yeah.

    3. I'd also add that whereas really blatantly MK'd popstars produce work that make you severely mentally sick and depressed after prolonged exposure, Fraser's oeuvre has an uncanny ability to draw the poison out, as it were, and heal.

By their fruits shall ye know them and only the wounded physician heals and all the rest of it.

    7. JB, thanks for confirming something I suspected already. I've been here from the start, but I'm too clueless to make much of a contribution. Too busy trying to make sense of everything else to find time to make sense of Fraser. Still, lots of interesting info to think about.

To change the subject slightly, I really think the new royal twins are one to watch. And that Elizabeth picked the name of the band "Cocteau twins" not just because it was the name of a song she liked, but because she had seen the twins with her gifts. Who are, in my humble opinion, not just the Antichrist, but IVF children with the DNA of Jesus and Elizabeth I. (Watch the movie Revelation and it will make an awful lot more sense). I'd even go as far as guessing that COC is Jesus (the rooster) and TEAU is Elizabeth. Just my thoughts. Anybody has better ideas, I'm sure you can figure it out better than me.

Act on case its a premature birth.

    6. Yes I am familiar with his story if only in a round about way as a fan of the larger catalogue works. The only problem that I can see with tribute songs is that from my point of view, they mean more to the person with a connection to who they are honoring then what could be transpiring upon the writers themselves.

This is not to say that a real time conceptualization of, for lack of a better term, global conscience is not spreading itself with tendrils to the emotions of the fans. For instance the video you linked, at the time of this response, has 20k plus views. There could be an untold number of downloads or explanations aligning with yours.

However one of the fan works of the originally referenced tract has out takes and cut ins of the later 1980's film Splash.

As for the relationship to the subject, it I guess in a way is a thread I saw throughout the post and previous one. Bryne makes me think of Ian Asturby and his attire within the over arching frame work of the and themes covered here. A bit Apocalyptic an Apoplectic(meant in good faith) at times. In a shell it, the intial post of the track, was given as a theme of pearls, water, twins, mermaids, rivers and music.

It's a really bizarre stage set-up for (what was supposedly) an "innocent", cotton-candy band like the Rollers, but than again, Top of the Pops did have Jimmy Savile as a creepy host and some dark stuff has come out in the Bay City Rollers backgrounds, so...

    4. Chris,

I don’t mean to intrude here, but the mention of Cancun as the place where Alan Langmuir was treated before his death triggered a strong enough synchropinquity for me to present you with a probable advance wave synchronicity regarding the recent strange death (April 16) in Cancun of Bitcoin Billionaire, Matthew Mellon, just 2 weeks after he had dinner with President Trump where they discussed Blockchain — and one month after Matthew’s older brother Christopher, had written an Oped piece in WaPo

      The military keeps encountering UFOs.
      Why doesn’t the Pentagon care?
      https://www.washingtonpost.com/outlook/the-military-keeps-encountering-ufos-why-doesnt-the-pentagon-care/2018/03/09/242c125c-22ee-11e8-94da-ebf9d112159c_story.html

On his VISUP blog, Recluse documents the history of the Mellon family and in this Part 4 of 4, pays special attention to the family’s deep connection with right wing politics, the CIA and now of course, UFOs and Tom deLonge’s To the Stars Academy of Arts and Sciences.

      http://visupview.blogspot.com/2018/04/the-house-of-mellon-part-iv-death-in.html

Was Matthew Mellon's death related to his brother's work in the UFO disclosure, his exposure to cryptocurrencies, the deep state civil war or some combination of all three? Certainly this is a curious series of events, from a branch of the family that his been linked to strange intrigues in the past. Even more bizarre is the fact that the active psychedelic component of ayahuasca, which is what is presently being blamed for Mellon's death, is DMT. As I noted before here, DMT has been known to induce visions of extraterrestrial-like nonhuman entities while curious and tragic medical issues have at times followed.

It would certainly be interesting to know if cryptos were the only thing discussed in Matthew Mellon's March meeting with Trump. Several weeks later the financier was dead, under still murky circumstances that at least nominally are being blamed on some type of entheogenic-centric treatment for opioid abuse. Clearly, something does not add up here.”

  9. As the policeman in the BBC Buckley documentary said, it's a notorious accidental drowning spot, where "experienced swimmers" have been misjudging the current etc since ever.
And even if Mr Taylor didn't have swimming in mind - there's no reason for a rational, nonreligious, person to imagine any "supernatural" influence on his slide down the embankment. Remember, it takes more than the death of a rock star over twenty years ago (one who is not "obscure" but "casually-canonised", and overrated in comparison to his still-misunderstood father) for the population at large to internalise the lesson "beware the Wolf River".
But these words fall on deaf ears: there's no such thing as a bad coincidence in Knowlesworld.
It's entirely possible that she would have known about the Scott Moorhead former-identity when she titled that song (part of her post-therapy song cycle, with no discernible phrases to connect it explicitly to Bucley). Because, to reiterate - Jeff and Liz actually connected back when the Cocteaus played Vegas.
He was still in the "obsessed fan" phase then (which she was uncomfortable with, until, sometime pre-release-of-4CC, she heard his music and fell into the same mindset). And who can blame him - watch those 1994 era interviews and melt.

In any case, it's all bs of course, just because something can be set in motion and "works" or has some kind of internal consistency or logic, that doesn't mean it's important, or even really real, or 'good for you'....

Truth is it's all really really evil and destructive.

Last night, I stumbled upon the fact that one of my favorite bands, Isis, is reuniting on October 13 (after being broken up for 8 years) for a one-time benefit show to honor musician Caleb Scofield, who died in a car crash a few months ago. I had never heard of Scofield, but it's an "interesting" story.

There's a song on his posthumous record (the Sketches) with lyrics "two cripples dancing to the end we live". Courtney had at least two songs with references to cripples dancing, I guess that was pretty much inspired by her music. Also, this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0iDTDVlnCe0

    1. The whole point of music is to act as a vessel, Milady. That's why it's called "music" and not "sound-stuff." If you do music properly, you'll experience spirit possession on a regular basis. And inevitably, it's been weaponized to the nth degree.

As to Courtney, I'll keep my own counsel here.

    2. sorry, I did not write clearly. "not the only vessel he was really close with", I meant. Mary did a good job white-washing him, but people still remember the way it was. :-)

The power is drawn from the masses beliefs/reactions to the story, just like religion, the power is in the masses belief in it, not the truth behind it. Either they make their own syncs via total media/police power or there is some type of Archon Adjustment Bureau, that can have mass power over people's minds and events, or maybe even a combination of both.

I’ve been especially interested in the river in my own area, the Rock River, which is a tributary of the Mississippi and factors heavily into the Native American lore of the area and is also connected to Aztalan, a location linked to lots of high strangeness and speculation.

I also know that our local river banks were once dotted with effigy mounds, including birds and turtles, which were all destroyed to build the city’s downtown.

I think there is a lot to be said for the increased drownings and other strange activity surrounding these waterways in areas of peak Native American lore.

I could back this up all tight and synchro-mystically (or even rationally or rhetorically) with approximately 800 words… But the pace lately, Hot Damn. And it’s clear you’re grasping this, so mega-kudos.

    Um.

Have you read any of the Mathisencorollary? Various commenters have mentioned him here, and he’s mentioned you and our boy Gordon in all the right ways. Anyway, he mentions Alvin Boyd Kuhn’s analysis of the word Ankh.

    http://mathisencorollary.blogspot.com/2014/08/the-name-of-ankh.html
    https://archive.org/stream/TheEsotericStructureOfTheAlphabet/AlvinBoydKuhn-TheEsotericStructureOfTheAlphabet#page/n13/mode/2up

Me thinks it purty much explicates the orange angel Secret Sun Scrabble. The case is made that “Ankh” as a word itself is a joining of N-K, as above so below, material/spiritual, etc. Further extrapolation leads to N-K approximating to N-G. Forming the basis for words signifying a broader union with the Universal Fecundity such as Gnosis, Yoga, Angle, Unction, Can, King, perhaps Annunaki - but of course Angel – as well as most notoriously (I noticed, thanks to your efforts) Orange.

    So, Dig This; if
    - AN & KH is the primary union of material & spiritual and
    - AN & GE are approximated therein through the magic of spoken language, then
    - OR & AN & GE becomes a second derivative of the primary unity signified by Ankh or Angel.

This Orange admixture (the word itself and everything that follows in it’s hue) seems to be a social control mechanism, approximating Gnostic truths with traditions of false authorities.

How’d I do? I assume this’ll be on the test?

Anybody have any thoughts on the relationship between Genesis 11:1, Genesis 11:7 and the Gottlieb’s and Cameron’s (of history and today) deep interest/palpable fear in the ole’ four horsemen known as Telepathy, Clairvoyance, Precognition & Psychokinesis?

Others put it at around that distance, e.g. "If the companion acted like a planet orbiting our sun, and the orbit periodicity was close to the precession periodicity, then standard calculations would put our binary counterpart somewhere between 848.5 AU and 1515 AU depending on its mass and eccentricity."

I use 2-6,000AU primarily because they're round numbers and the correct order of magnitude.

The key is that we have a second sun, but due to a 19th century deception, it remains a secret sun, known only to a few.

When you figure out the deception, the secret sun becomes pretty obvious. It's a bright star, and a twin of The Sun - born at the same time.

So, yes, planet 9 is disinfo (to lead folk astray as it becomes more evident that the solar system is not solitary/isolated). A hypothetical body, recently hypothesised, is more comforting than the revelation that we have a second sun and that it has been deliberately hidden/kept secret - because of the deductions we then make about Saṃsāra -> immanence of eschaton).

    1. Thai authorities say a Navy SEAL working to rescue the boys and their soccer coach trapped in a cave has died from lack of oxygen.
Saman Kunan, a former member of Thailand's elite Navy SEAL unit who was part of the rescue team in Chiang Rai, died on Thursday night after entering the cave to lay oxygen tanks along a potential exit route, the SEAL commander said.
SEAL commander Arpakorn Yookongkaew told a news conference on Friday morning the rescuer was working in a volunteer capacity and died during an overnight mission in which he was placing oxygen canisters.

    2. What boggles my mind about that cave story is that it's a FIVE hour dive to reach the kids, which is why the logistics of the rescue are so difficult.

  50. I'm not FEELING this one, but it seems significant enough to mention: on May 11, 2018, the dragon float from Maleficent caught on fire during the Festival of Fantasy parade. Haven't seen the new movie, but I know in the original "Sleeping Beauty" that the dragon is Maleficent, herself, after summoning "all the powers of hell." (The whole Revelations angle, as well.) Thankfully, no one was hurt in the incident.

Wikipedia notes a number of "fiery" news stories on the same day, but what sticks out to me is that 54 Templars were burned at the stake on May 11, 1310. Can't find a corroborating article, but it's claimed for the entry of the day.

    Best wishes as always

  51. Hey Chris, Was thinking about possible synch connection with Radiohead's Pyramid Song... I see you posted that song some 10 yrs back, but wasn't sure if you'd thought of it yet in conjunction with this WP show drowning or not - I guess the song may refer to Buckley's drowning? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tA1inV97Wao Anyway, I'm a big Secret Sun fan - thanks for your endless work!

  52. Hey there just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The words in your article seem
to be running off the screen in Opera. I'm not sure if this is a format
issue or something to do with internet browser compatibility but I figured I'd post to let you know.
The style and design look great though! Hope you get the issue resolved soon. Cheers
