RU RCVG?

A reader pointed this series out to me and I'm rather shocked I hadn't heard of it yet. It plays like a lost episode of Taken as shot by Bill Roe. It's pretty powerful science fiction with a very oblique POV.
Bears repeated viewings as well....

  1. Thanks Chris, I never heard of this one. So many good watches, listens, and ideas abound at the SS!
We all are hoping all is going well for your workday world. I personally am hoping there is a little spring break adventure going on for you as well!
Be well and thanks again, Delorus

  3. That's an interesting 45 minutes. X-files with no body fat.

  4. Hey Chris,

RCVR is pretty dang interestin'! You were hell-a right about the oblique POV and repeated viewings. Plus, the main pilot kid had some real acting chops on him. He anchored the whole thing for me and multiplied the creep and resonance factors. The casting of great child actors in these kinds of things are always important.

    Over and Out.

  5. I don't know-- there has to be a certain level of believability for me-- and I just ain't buying that dude as an FBI agent from that time period... especially with the Ethan Hawke Reality Bites goatee stubble. Aside from that it has potential.

  6. I really liked it too and thought the boy was excellent and the premise was well thought out. I wish there were more episodes.

  7. Jaxx, I thought the main guy was pretty good. He wasn't exactly an FBI agent per se; more a member of a creepy-spooky ill-defined secret research group. Obviously a morally ambiguous dude. I liked the older researcher dude too. He added a little something to the mix. Generally I just really appreciated the oblique interior nature of the whole thing.
