The Secret Sun Radio Mystery Hour: Nick Redfern Unleashed!

The Secret Sun Radio Mystery Hour is back, and it's back in a big, bad way. Submitted for your approval- a two-hour plus talk with the preeminent paranormal researcher, Nick Redfern. But this isn't your standard interview with the prolific author- it's Nick Redfern unleashed.

We all know the lore and the controversies by now, but what if both the UFO believers and the debunkers are being used as pawns in a larger game? What if the usual denials we hear from the authorities hide an entirely different understanding of the phenomenon, one that doesn't conform to the "swamp gas or alien spaceships or bust" narratives pushed by the mass media?

Even many UFO researchers dismiss Roswell as much ado about nothing, a bunch of huffing and puffing about some balloon debris and a premature press release. But the Air Force's story has changed over the years so many times, it's hard to figure which lie to believe. And what if all of it is a smokescreen for a much stranger event that would confound even the UFO buffs?

And what about mass sightings and events such as the Battle of Los Angeles and the July 1952 invasion of Washington? How did they disappear down the memory hole? What about the flaps in 1966 or 1973?

Undoubtedly, many sightings are misinterpretations and the military used UFO fever in the late 80s to camouflage test flights of advanced stealth aircraft. But to dismiss all of this as military disinfo-- as media shills are wont to do-- is to ignore that this phenomenon long predates Kenneth Arnold.

And at the same time that Military/Religious/Industrial Complex shills are put out there to reassure the mind-controlled faithful that there's nothing to all this Ancient Aliens business but bad science and unfortunate haircuts, there's a paper trail of interest among key players in the power structure --one that Nick meticulously unravels in The Pyramids and The Pentagon-- in an interpretation of history that is officially verboten. And the entertainment wing of said complex continues to pump out one incredibly expensive ancient astronaut based sci-fi franchise after another.

So what do these people really believe?

In this marathon talk, Nick and I cover the gamut of Weirdness, everything from Roswell to The Outer Limits, from crashed saucers to dimension gateways, from ancient astronauts to Mystery cults, from Bill Cooper and Richard Doty to Morris K. Jessup and Paul Bennewitz, from occultist scapegoats to fundamentalist juntas, from alien abduction to remote viewing, from Villas Boas to Jack Parsons, from the Men in Black to Majestic 12, from Synchronicity to skepticism, from the Contactees to Bigfoot and everything in between.

This one was a long time in coming, and I think you'll agree it's well worth the wait. Download it now.

Hey Chris,

This was a fascinating, in-depth interview with Nick. Not like I expect anything less from you though. You guys covered the gamut. The fact that Nick recognizes the weird acid-trip subjectivity of this whole phenomenon, along with your own views on a mysterious Signal - it points to some interesting ideas.

It kind of makes me realize far more acutely just how little we actually know. I mean, so much of the stuff in ufology is shuffled around like established fact when a lot of it is no more than generally-accepted theories. But peel back the layers and there seems to be weirdness upon weirdness.

It definitely seems as if some kind of broadening of a thesis is going on. I'm not sure if the main drive behind the phenomenon is evolutionary in nature, but there does seems to be key aspects that are directly related to our consciousness, and the state thereof.

It's interesting, hearing you and Nick talk. Listening to two very open-minded, insightful guys discuss this stuff makes me think of Fate, and the old saying that our characters are our fate. Hearing you guys discuss signals and guidance and synchronicity makes me think that perhaps Fate is non-local and non-linear, very signal-like, though unbound by space and time. A kind of thematic fate, if you will.

This view makes sense to me especially when I read about the early lives of mystics and visionaries. Things and moods and themes followed them their whole lives. We may never figure out the objective nature of this phenomenon, if such an objectivity even exists, but attempting to do so is how spiritual maturity is gained, I believe.

Furthermore, we can take the best of these insights and weaponize them, in effect - so that others can be armed creatively and spiritually...so that we're not all permanently lost in an endless dogfight with ourselves, and can start to try bettering our lives individually and collectively.

Much thanks to you and Nick for the inspiration and the excellent food for thought.

Peace

Chris,

Last weekend I attended the Paradigm Symposium in Minneapolis. One of the speakers was Dan Madsen, publisher and founder of the Official Star Trek fan club --among many many other ventures related to the Sci-Fi culture.

His presentation was the one who touched me the most, on an emotional level. The man is a little person —PC term for 'dwarf'-- and he basically started a geek emporium from the basement of his parents' home with nothing but pure passion and love for the genre. This love was, incidentally, triggered by an incredibly moving synchronicity caused by watching Star Trek for the 1st time, when they were showing the episode Plato's Stepchildren, which involved another little person named Alexander.

As I was listening to this man incredible journey, which allowed him to meet and befriend all his idols —including Roddenberry himself, Shatner, Nimoy & Takei, and also Lucas & Spielberg-- I suddenly realized that Sam was like some sort of re-incarnation of Ray Palmer!

After the presentation was over I came to him, asked for an autograph, and told him "Sir, if I may? You're not a dwarf --You're a wizard." He told me that was the best compliment anyone had ever given to him :)

I also wanted to mention that during the Q&A I asked him about this famous story between Roddenberry and Andrija Puharich, and their alleged involvement with the legendary Group of Nine. His answer was that, in his opinion and as far as Gene's involvement was concerned, the story had little chance to be true.

Take of that what you will.

Having said that, during his presentation he did mention that Gene was VERY interested in the UFO phenomenon; so at least not all is lost, right? ;)

Saludos,

RPJ

Always good to hear from Nick and I am delighted that you (Chris) are going to be doing more of these interviews.

Roswell remains just so tantalising and seductive for those in the UFO "community". If only the smoking gun would turn up, they could then yell a big I told you so. It's always there, but so elusive. I can't help thinking that if it wasn't designed as the perfect distraction it has morphed into one. It's the carrot on the end of the stick.

Interesting to hear the evolutionary aspect of the phenomenon discussed. This model always appeals to me as I really hope we haven't evolved to our zenith yet:). Maybe it is just programmed into our DNA to have these experiences. To encourage us to move forwards. Maybe they are currently wearing a UFO cloak because we need to start our space migration?

Another model I have been thinking about recently is that maybe we are just getting lonely. Like the person left on the deserted island too long.

There is endless space for speculation and it's this that (as well as the personal experiences I have had) that has kept me interested in this field over the decades.
