Digital Apotheosis: Clash of the Titans teaser

Oh, HELL yeah. Cheers to Matt at X-Files Lexicon to alerting me to this. Funny how it takes futuristic technology to bring ancient mythology to life. Or modern mythology for that matter- that Legendary Pictures logo got me to thinking it may be time to give Watchmen another spin.

I'm there if this plays at IMAX.

SYNC LOG: I came across this insanity right after posting the vid. The mind boggles.

I am gonna have to see this one to make up my opinion. The original is one of my all time favorite movies, and with all the special effects in the world I believe it's gonna take way more then that to top the original.

Very cool. I've been waiting for that one. Another interesting movie coming out: Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief
(fox 2000)

I wanted to let you know about the latest post at gosporn about the America's Cup "clash of the titans", which has had some pretty interesting semiotic twists this week that I think you will particularly enjoy, and I wouldn't have grokked them if it weren't for you and your Secret Sun symbolic education, so thanks.

Regards, Michael

I saw that, Michael- all I could think of was Dubai! Maybe the old seafaring days are going to make a big comeback.

I have zero issues with a remake, but I'm a little concerned, based on the stills I saw, that there might be too much of a "300" vibe to the visual look. We'll see.

Thanks Chris for the site plug, that's odd about the Greek priest attack. To digress, if Chris doesn't mind, I'm recruiting new writers for the main Lexicon site, specifically for a certain section. Chris can forward how to reach me if anyone is interested.

Hi Chris,

This film will certainly bring back memories! I was a huge mythology fan as a kid but my fave and scariest (to a 10 year old) was Godzilla! Hooray! I still get goose bumps.

Speaking of Titans, as in TITAN RADAR, which I really wonder why it was named that and why our local weather men love to say it so much (that's all I've heard on all news channels the past three days: "Our Titan radar indicates" and my favorite, "Let's take a look at our Titan radar".

Well, we've got Ida remnants (still tropical storm force winds!) sitting and spinning over top of us here in North Carolina. Geez, it's been three days of rain and wind, beach erosion! They're comparing it to Isabel. I'm starting to take it personally!

Thanks, Chris!

Thank you, Professor, thank you. Ever since I was five when I saw the original Harryhausen masterpiece, "Jason & the Argonauts", I fell in love with Hellenic mythology. Now, all these 47 years later, I'm just as much the aficionado. I canna wait any longer, Captain! LOL! Thanks again, Christopher, I jus' somehow knew that I was stopping over for a very pleasant surprise! ~ (•8-D}

The Bee- tles have been of a resonate nature of mine of late. Ck- would you be so kind to look at a Hard days knight, for me. Give me your sight into such immense symbology. The Beatle, its imagery, why the lines and coke come into play, and the Pink one and Ringo, GJeorge, and his pronounced Hindi resonance comes to play. You can be of help to me. I am of late somewhat at odds with full lotus and karma in general. Shine forth brave souls!
