Wow- I've come across Dr. Jacobs' theories of human-alien hybridization in my travels, but had no idea he was still around. Well, he is and the Palmgren boys got him for a three-hour gabfest.For the uninitated, here's the spiel:
Dr. David M. Jacobs is an associate professor of History at Temple University in Philadelphia specializing in twentieth century American history and culture. He's been a UFO researcher for 45 years. In 1973, he completed his doctoral dissertation in field of intellectual history at the University of Wisconsin--Madison on the controversy over unidentified flying objects in America. This was only the second Ph.D. degree granted involving a UFO-related theme.I can't vouch for any of this other than pointing out that Jacobs' theories were an enormous influence on The X-Files, but this guy is not some cellar-dwelling crank. It's also fascinating how little known his work outside the deepest circles of the UFO underground. Check it out...

I don't believe this man. He seems too happy about his position. And you're right, this is a gabfest. He seems entirely too comfortable for a guy who believes what he promotes as truth.
I get a similar feeling albeit in a different way from Steven Greer and David Wilcock. I believe they believe what they're promoting, but there seems to be a manufactured, ego created dimension that I view as a disconnect. It isn't whole. It isn't truly pure. I
Again, I like to expose myself to all of the info out there so thank you but.....Jacques Vallee is one of the only individuals that seems to be completely grounded.
How can any of us truly promote an idea that we haven't embodied?

I feel compelled to add that we can promote all sorts of ideas no matter how wild but there is a certain way to go about it and a certain way not to.
This is why I visit here daily. You're very careful which is important to me.
There's too much "i know what's going on" in this field and we all need to remain grounded and vigilant.
Also for anyone who cares, Vallee was completely opposed to hypnotism in this area.

I sat in this mans house for about 4 hours. Actually - you wanna talk about films, this man is a smart as any person I've ever met on the planet about movies.
But I digress.
He is a very serious researcher. I don't agree with all his conclutions, but I feel strongly that he should be taken seriously.
I'll add that he's a funny guy.
Dr. Jacobs isn't the attention whore I first felt he was. My Apologies.
I had a few drinks and was on my manses. :)
He does seem genuine and doesn't have a strange vibe about him as I first thought.
I still have to do my best to stay grounded though, as these subjects have a powerful current that tends to knock one on their ass. :)

I agree that he isn't skeptical enough. Also, geez, he takes FOREVER to get to the point. Dude needs to condense his story telling.
But isn't this just an extension of the ole us/them routine. The Russians are coming. "Be afraid, be very afraid"..It's obvious they're casting about for a new collective boogie man to keep the fear and confusion going. We know they can trance people into these beliefs earl on if they need to. Voila ! New enemy, more funding and everyone even more controlleable through their fear of the unknown....
